Jasmine


Jasmine is a sturdy, climbing, evergreen shrub with bright green leaves that grows to be approximately twenty feet tall with white star shaped flowers. These flowers can only be picked at night because they only bloom at night. This beautiful plant can be found in Egypt, Morocco, and the Mediterranean. They were originally found in Peru, Kashmir and China. Jasmine’s essential oil is steam distilled from its flowers, it takes huge quantities of petals to prepare one ounce of Jasmine’s essential oil.

Aromatherapy qualities of Jasmine ~ (Jasminum grandiflorum) ~ Is said to produce a feeling of optimism, confidence and euphoria.

The metaphysical properties of Jasmine are as follows:

*Jasmine is the sacred flower of the Hindu god of love-Kama, and has been used throughout history as a ingredient for love potions or spells to capture, sustain or rekindle the affection of a loved one.
*The symbolic bond of love and passion that is used to unite a bridal couple for eternity.
*Symbolic of the moon and of the mysteries of the night, Jasmine is said to induce prophetic dreams if burned in the bedroom.
*Jasmine is also associated with; Good luck in love and wealth, Anointing; Balance; Luck; Fortune; Justice; Happiness; Harmony; Peace; Meditation; Money; Riches; Astral Projection, Sleep, Healing and Health.
